Highlights from Apteco's quarterly roundup of the latest software features
The Apteco development team has been busy over the last few months and their latest software release is a testiment to that, as they work on making Apteco the best end-to-end marketing platform available. The Q4 2024 software release includes significant improvements which aim to help users to put insight into action more effectively than ever.
The developments in Apteco Orbit campaigns this year have been meteoric – but they don't stop there. Apteco are stepping up on usability to give users a campaigning tool that’s intuitive and easy to use, with more personalisation options, easier navigation in the journey builder and quick shortcuts to save time and make moving around campaign journeys effortless.
This includes using the campaign run date variable as a content field for message personalisation in Orbit campaigns, allowing for more dynamic and time-sensitive messaging. Users can also quickly navigate around campaign journeys, by jumping to other campaign sections using arrows on the path redirect step, and maintain a clearer and more manageable campaign flow using drag-and-drop functionality to reorder campaign sections.
The existing audience workbooks maps now allow users to use their own map boundary shapefile for flexible visualisation. Upload, view, manage and utilise shapefiles in Apteco Orbit to generate dynamic, zoomable maps from audiences.
Once the shapefiles have been uploaded, in just a few clicks the user can utilise the new map settings in an audience to generate dynamic, zoomable, pannable maps to further analyse and refine data. The shaded areas outlined are selectable, making maps interactive and more functional.
Apteco email users can utilise the new landing page builder, a quick and easy to set-up tool with a smooth and responsive drag and drop interface that forms an essential part of a digital marketing campaign.
Users can now capture visitor information with an embedded form to generate valuable leads, design a landing page from scratch, or use pre-built templates to help craft beautiful landing pages with ease. Landing page performance can be boosted with custom URLs, subdomains, SEO settings, and page descriptions for improved visibility.
New database connections in Orbit now allow users to connect their data from SQL Server, Snowflake and PostgreSQL to Apteco Orbit. This expands the integration options beyond file and Amazon S3 connections, allowing more versatility when bringing together disparate data sources in Orbit. Users can specify and securely store credentials, connect databases, and begin building systems with confidence.
Apteco users can now outpace their competitors by responding in real-time to live data changes. This improvement ensures that campaigns are triggered immediately, helping to precisely target the right audience, at exactly the right time.
And finally, in Apteco FastStats, the existing Segmentation tool allows users to examine the breakdown of their customers (donors, subscribers, event attendees etc.) into different segments based on their transactional behaviour, and then examine and track how membership of those segments has changed over time. Users can automate and update this insight by setting fixed time reporting to create selections for further analysis or use the Segmentation wizard to generate segmentation virtual variables. The Segmentation tool now has the ability to define 'relative time points', which is a particularly useful option when analysing data over flexible time frames, and is valuable when actioning recurring campaigns as there is no need for regular or repeated user intervention.
